I got a reply from JISC today about the status of the mirror:

"You'll be glad to hear that the mirror of www.whiteboxlinux.org has not
been removed. We have addressed most of the issues that have been
preventing us from updating the mirror. At present we are synchronising
with the source. It won't be long now.
