Thanks, everyone, for your input. Jessica, please include the following 
in your mail-out / meeting notice. Thanks for all you do!

Proposed changes to the Articles of Incorporation:

(1)  Article VI (a) to read:
The corporate powers and management of the corporation shall be vested 
in and exercised by a Board of Directors of six (6) members composed of 
three (3) members from each of the following groups: (1) Public Library 
employees; and  (2) Academic, School, Special, and Other Members.

(2) Article VI (b) to read :

Election to the Board of Directors may be at a meeting or by mail and 
will be held annually in the fall for appointment beginning January 1 of 
the following year. Any unexpired term occurring among the Directors by 
death, resignation, or otherwise shall be filled by election by the 
remaining members of the Board.

Terms of office shall be for two-year, commencing with the election. 
Terms of office for the first election will be as follows: Each group 
will elect one member to a one-year term and two members to a two-year 
term. Thereafter all will be elected to a two-year term except those 
selected to fill a vacant position, who will serve the remainder of the 
unexpired term.
