I believe you put your routes in /etc/sysconfig/static-routes.  It's not
there by default, but it is referenced in /etc/rc.d/init.d/network.  The
format would be something line this:
any net 172.0.0.0 netmask 255.0.0.0 gw 192.168.1.1
