If this is a hardware modem (doubtful), you don't need a driver (it will
show up as /dev/ttyS<mumble> and would have been auto-detected by kudzu).

It is probably a 'winmodem' and you do indeed need some sort of driver.
Visit http://linmodems.org/ to get drivers.
